cuvie kelp blades attached to sugar kelp stopes/stems (Norwegian kelp)
Walking the beaches near Berlevag, Norway, when I was there on an artist residency at Kvitbrakka, I was fascinated by how the cuvie kelp blades had spots on them once they had been on the beach for awhile. The stipes/stems of the cuvie are bulky and so I used sugar kelp stipes/syems and attached cuvie kelp blades with waxed Irish linen thread.
